Defines a writing surface in terms of a rectangular coordinate space,
optionally grouping one or more graphic representations of that space, and rectangular zones
of interest within it.

Characterizes the element in some sense, using any convenient
classification scheme or typology.
ulx xs:nonNegativeInteger optional
Indicates the upper-left corner x coordinate.
uly xs:nonNegativeInteger optional
Indicates the upper-left corner y coordinate.
xml:base mei:mei_data.URI optional
Provides a base URI reference with which applications can resolve relative
URI references into absolute URI references.
xml:id xs:ID optional
Regularizes the naming of an element and thus facilitates building links
between it and other resources. Each id attribute within a document must have a unique
value.
